My Rising Star :: Vivian

When the idea came to me to introduce a project like this, I had a hunch that it would be successful.  Not because of me, but because I know a momma’s heart and I am a mother of a tween.  Over this past year I have begun to see little changes in my little girl, changes that revealed that my girl was at the cusp of becoming a young lady. It was sad and heart-warming all at the same time.  Her personal style was developing, her desire to always do her own hair (this was uber difficult for me to let go of), and just our everyday conversations changed a bit.  She is still cuddly and desires closeness, an attribute I pray never leaves, but she also has revealed a desire for independence that I can’t deny.

She’s tiptoeing into young ladyhood and there is just so many things I want her to know first before she enters completely.  Middle school is a crazy time of life and this momma’s heart wants her so badly to hold on to her value, to know her self-worth, to know how her mom and dad see her, how her Heavenly Father sees her.  I want her to know that she is strong and brave, that she can lead instead of follow and that she is loved beyond measure.  I want her to know that she can be a Rising Star.

Photographing Vivian to promote this project was so special for me just as much as it was for her.  How often do we sit down and really think about the things that make our kids great and then to read what others have said about her – enter waterworks.   Putting this together for her was a gift.  I hope it is something she’ll always treasure and be a stepping stone of blessing in her life.

I love you, Vivi Jo.  You, your brothers and your dad make up my whole heart.

Small disclaimer-please ignore the typos in the following images.  They were fix for the finished album. 😉

Thank you to everyone who made this project so special for Vivian!

xoxo
